Refund policy

We hope you'll be delighted with every piece you order. If something isn't right, this policy explains how to return it, what's eligible, and how refunds are issued. For anything outside the cases described here, please reach out at hello@maisonperrin.com — we'd rather hear from you and find a fair resolution than have you live with a piece you don't love.

Return window

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. After 30 days, items are no longer eligible for return, except in the case of damage, defects, or incorrect items (see Damaged or incorrect items on arrival below).

What can be returned

To be eligible for return, items must be:

  • Unused and in their original condition — clean, with no signs of use, wear, or installation;
  • In their original packaging, including any inserts, dust bags, tags, or protective materials they arrived with; and
  • Returned together with all accessories that came with the piece.

What cannot be returned

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of a manufacturing defect:

  • Items marked Final Sale or Clearance on their product page
  • Custom or made-to-order pieces
  • Personal-care or consumable items (candles, soaps, fragrances) once opened or used
  • Gift cards

Restocking fee on high-ticket items

For pieces priced over $500, a 5% restocking fee may be deducted from your refund. This covers the cost of inspection, repackaging, and processing for higher-value pieces, which are often handled and shipped individually. Where this applies, we'll note it in our reply when you request the return — before you ship anything back — so you can decide how you'd like to proceed.

Pieces returned because they arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect are never subject to a restocking fee.

How to start a return

To begin, email us at hello@maisonperrin.com with:

  1. Your order number
  2. The item or items you'd like to return
  3. The reason for the return

We'll reply within two business days with confirmation, return instructions, and a return address. Please wait for our confirmation before shipping anything back — items returned without prior approval may not be refundable.

Return shipping

Unless the return is due to damage, a defect, or our error, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a trackable, insured service — we cannot issue a refund for items lost or damaged in transit on the way back to us. Returns sent via USPS that arrive with postage due will be refused and returned to sender.

If the return is due to damage, a defect, or an incorrect item shipped, we'll cover return shipping by sending you a prepaid label.

Refunds

Once your return arrives and we've inspected the items, we'll issue a refund to the original payment method. You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund has been processed; the funds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

What's included in the refund:

  • The price paid for returned items, minus any applicable restocking fee.
  • Original outbound shipping is non-refundable, except where the return is due to damage, a defect, or our error.
  • Sales tax is refunded in accordance with applicable state and local laws.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange a piece is to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for what you'd prefer. If a like-for-like exchange (a different size or color of the same piece) is what you have in mind, write to us at hello@maisonperrin.com — if the item is in stock, we'll often arrange a direct exchange to make it simpler.

Damaged or incorrect items on arrival

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or not as ordered, please follow the steps in our Shipping policy under Damaged or incorrect items on arrival. These cases are not subject to the restocking fee, and we cover return shipping.

Gifts

If a piece was sent to you as a gift and you'd like to return it, you can do so under the same 30-day window. We'll issue store credit equal to the item's purchase price, unless the original purchaser specifies otherwise. The original purchaser will not be notified of the return.
