- — Chrome-glazed rippled ceramic
- — 12 inches wide and tall, 4.5 inches deep
- — G9 LED bulb included, 2700K
- — Hand-blown 3.5 inch glass globe
The Ripple Bowl Sconce is a chrome glaze bowl sconce from Misewell's Ripple collection, built around continuous rippled ceramic and finished with a G9 glass globe. A 12-inch wall fixture with mirror-like depth.
Ripple is the design idea. The ceramic body is thrown in soft, undulating ridges, then dipped in a chrome glaze that catches and bends the light. The bowl shape opens toward the wall, so the glow pools backward across the rippled surface instead of forward into the room.
Handcrafted in Misewell's Milwaukee ceramics studio. The sconce measures 12 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 4.5 inches deep, weight 2 pounds. Glass globe diameter is 3.5 inches. Bulb is G9 at 4.5W LED, 50W equivalent, 2700K. Included. Plug-in version ships with a 10-foot fabric cord and dimmer. Hardwire option also available. Materials are stoneware and glass. UL listed. Lead time runs 5–7 weeks.
Mount it as a focal piece above a console or in a powder room where the reflective glaze does the work of an extra mirror. The bowl form gives back-wash light. Quiet, indirect, the kind that makes a room read warmer without being bright.

What does "ripple" actually look like?
Soft horizontal undulations across the ceramic. Like ripples set in clay. The chrome glaze sits in the recesses and catches the light, so the surface reads as moving even when nothing is moving. It's a tactile finish, not a printed pattern.
Will the chrome read like a mirror?
Close, not quite. Chrome glaze is reflective enough to throw a soft mirror finish. You'll see your room in it from across the space. But it's slightly tinted by the ceramic underneath. Reads cooler than polished metal, warmer than a mirror.
Why a bowl shape for a sconce?
Back-wash light. The bowl opens toward the wall, which means the bulb's glow bounces off the chrome and rippled surface before reaching the room. You get diffuse, indirect light instead of a hot spot. Easier on the eyes; harder to read by.
Where does this work best?
Powder rooms, console-table walls, anywhere you want the sconce to read as a piece of art. Skip it for primary reading or task light. The bowl form is designed for atmosphere, not output.
How long is the lead time really?
5–7 weeks. Each piece is hand-thrown, dipped in chrome glaze, and kiln-fired in Misewell's Milwaukee studio. The lead time reflects the firing schedule, not the supplier queue. Order early if you have a tight install date.
In-stock orders are packed and shipped within 5–7 business days (excluding holidays). Shipping is via UPS within the continental United States — we do not offer international shipping or in-store pickup at this time.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over $150. Below that threshold, live rates are calculated at checkout based on size, weight, and destination.
Made-to-order and pre-order pieces carry their own lead times, noted on the product page. Please note lead times do not include transit. Delays due to carrier volume or weather are outside our control.
Read the full shipping policy.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to the original form of payment. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
High-ticket pieces may be subject to a 5% restocking fee to cover re-inspection and careful repackaging. If a restocking fee applies to your item, we'll let you know before your return is processed.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer in all other cases; returns that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender.
