The Ripple I Sconce is a small chrome ripple sconce. A 5-inch ceramic body finished in chrome glaze and topped with a hand-blown glass globe. The compact entry to Misewell's Ripple sconce series.
The body is rippled stoneware dipped in chrome and the globe is generous for the size: 4.7 inches of clear glass over a 5-inch base. The proportion is almost all globe, which makes the fixture read as a sphere of light with a ridged collar.
Handcrafted in Misewell's Milwaukee ceramics studio. The sconce measures 5 inches in diameter by 7 inches deep, weight 2 pounds. Glass globe is 4.7 inches in diameter. Bulb is G9 at 4.5W LED, 50W equivalent, 2700K. Included. Plug-in version ships with a 10-foot fabric cord and dimmer. Hardwire option available. Materials are stoneware and glass. UL listed. Lead time runs 1–2 weeks.
Mount it beside a bed for low-glare reading light, or use as a pair flanking a vanity mirror. The 5-inch footprint suits tight wall sections; the chrome glaze keeps it from disappearing.

How does the globe fit on a 5-inch body?
The 4.7-inch globe is almost as wide as the 5-inch ceramic body. That's the intentional proportion. The fixture reads as mostly globe with a thin rippled collar. Up close you see the ripples; from a few feet away you see a sphere.
Why is the lead time shorter than the bigger Ripple sconces?
Smaller pieces are quicker to throw, glaze, and fire. The Ripple I ships in 1–2 weeks. The Ripple II is 1–2 weeks. The Bowl and III Pendant variants need 5–7 weeks because the larger forms take longer in the kiln.
Plug-in or hardwire?
Plug-in is fastest . 10-foot fabric cord, in-line dimmer, no electrician needed. Hardwire is cleaner if you have an existing wall box, and Misewell makes the install identical aside from the cord. Both are dimmable.
Will a 50W-equivalent G9 light a bedside?
For reading, you want at least 60W equivalent. The G9 included is 50W eq. Fine for ambient and accent, slightly underpowered for serious reading without dimmer-down. You can swap the bulb for a 60W-rated G9 LED later if you want more output.
How clean is the chrome glaze?
Reflective, but it picks up handling. The bedroom or bathroom is fine because the sconce lives above touching height; a hallway at elbow height is where you'd see fingerprints. Microfiber cloth wipes them off in seconds.
