Vintage Distressed Hamadan Rug 4x6

Vintage Distressed Hamadan Rug 4x6, hand-knotted in Persia circa 1940s. The kind of rug that quiets a room the moment it goes down.

The pattern. Hexagonal center medallion with sharp serrated lightening contour atop a concentric medallion of reciprocal contour adorned by arrowed finials. Partial Herati design motif found throughout with birds, serpents, fish, and animals found hidden throughout.

Colors. Dusty sky blue, antique ivory, beige, sand.

Condition. Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned and ready for in-home use.
