The Fin I Pendant is a white oak drum pendant light built from radial plywood fins around a stainless steel core. It measures 13.5 inches across and 9.5 inches tall, the shortest of the three Fin pendants.
The form is structural. Slats of pale oak fan around the bulb so light filters between them in soft vertical lines. You get a fixture that reads as architecture before you notice the light.
Handcrafted in Misewell's Milwaukee studio. Each pendant is built from white oak plywood with stainless steel hardware. The drum is 13.5 inches in diameter and 9.5 inches tall, weight roughly 2 pounds. Socket takes a standard E26 bulb, sold separately. Plug-in option ships with an 18-foot fabric cord and on/off switch. Hardwire ships with an 8-foot cord and a black canopy. UL listed. Lead time runs 4–6 weeks.
Hang one over an entry console for a soft circle of light, or pair two over a long kitchen island. The wood warms with use, and the drum proportion sits flat rather than dipping into the room.

What kind of light comes through the fins?
Soft vertical bands. The plywood slats break the bulb into thin lines of light that fall around the room. Pair it with a clear or globe E26 bulb for the cleanest pattern; a frosted bulb softens everything into a glow instead.
Which Fin pendant fits my ceiling?
Fin I is the shortest at 9.5 inches tall, so it suits standard 8-foot ceilings or anywhere you want the pendant to read flat. Fin II (13 inches) and Fin III (19 inches) hang lower and need more room. Go taller if you have 9-foot ceilings or want the pendant to be a room anchor.
Does it work over a kitchen island?
Yes. A 13.5-inch diameter sits well over a 4-foot island as a single pendant, or pair two for a longer island. The drum proportion stays out of sight-lines when you're standing at the counter, unlike a tall pendant that would dip into your view.
What bulb should I use?
Any E26 LED. Misewell ships the pendant without a bulb so you can pick the temperature you want. 2700K reads warm and yellow; 3000K reads cleaner and a bit whiter. Use a dimmable bulb if your install is hardwired to a dimmer switch.
Will the oak yellow over time?
White oak takes on a deeper honey tone with age, especially in rooms with strong sunlight. The change is subtle and reads as warmer wood, not damaged. If you want it to stay closer to its current color, hang it away from direct sun.
