Developed in response to the limited options in the market for a large, comfortable honing rod that is versatile and durable enough to hone any blade, the STEELPORT 12” Oval Ceramic Honing Rod sets itself apart in many ways:
- Versatile Ceramic: Exceptionally hard ceramic, providing an ideal surface and grit for realigning the microscopic edges of any kitchen knife, regardless of their steel hardness.
- Efficient Oval Shape: Allows more contact with the blade for more consistent honing action. The only oval ceramic honing rod available.
- Unique Contoured Wood Handle: An ergonomic grip for comfortable regular use, plus a safety guard, all made from US-sourced walnut.
- Larger 12” Length: Allows for smooth full strokes, ideal for knives of all sizes.
- Steel Core: Added durability and better balance.
- Made-in-USA: Each STEELPORT Honing Rod is handcrafted in our factory in Portland, Oregon.
