The adjustable plug in wall sconce has an oatmeal cotton shade that tilts to aim light where you need it. It installs in minutes without an electrician.
Plug it in, hang it up, and you have a reading light. The shade adjusts to direct light up, down, or to the side. The organic cotton diffuses light into a soft, warm wash and develops a subtle patina over time.
The Tokyo Sconce by Misewell sits on a slender base that extends 9 inches from the wall. Overall dimensions are 6 by 9 by 13 inches. The plug-in version includes a cloth-covered cord with an in-line on/off switch. No junction box, no electrician. A hardwire option is also available for permanent installation. Both use a standard E26 bulb base. Three base finishes are available — Black, White, and Brass. The oatmeal cotton shade stays consistent across all three. UL Listed. Each sconce is handmade across workshops in Oregon, New York, and Wisconsin.

Can I install it without an electrician?
Yes — the plug-in version ships with a cloth-covered cord and an in-line switch. Plug it in, mount the sconce with the included hardware, and you have a reading light. No junction box, no wiring.
Black, white, or brass?
Brass is the one that develops character — it picks up patina over months of use. Black and white stay cleaner and more consistent. All three use the same oatmeal cotton shade, so the light itself reads the same.
Can the shade aim light where I need it?
Yes — the shade tilts up, down, or to the side. Aim it at a book beside your bed, or at the wall for indirect ambient light. Holds its position once you set it.
What bulb does it use?
A standard E26. The organic cotton is designed to diffuse warm light, so pair it with a warm LED rather than daylight-toned.
How far does it stick out from the wall?
The base extends 9 inches. Far enough to clear a headboard or armchair back; not so far it crowds a hallway. Total dimensions are 6 × 9 × 13 inches.
