The Pilot Sconce by Misewell is hand-spun and assembled in a Wisconsin workshop. Overall dimensions are 10 by 10 by 18 inches. It uses a standard E26 bulb base and is UL Listed for residential use. The directional shade focuses light where you need it without flooding the room.
Mount it beside a bed, over a reading chair, or flanking an entryway mirror. The aluminum catches ambient light during the day. At night, it becomes a warm reading spot.

What kind of light does it actually throw?
Downward and focused — the aluminum shade directs light in a beam rather than flooding the room. Great for task lighting beside a bed, over a reading chair, or as entryway lighting where you want the light going down onto what you're doing.
How does it mount?
A ceramic wall plate sits flush against the wall, and the fixture attaches to it. Standard hardwired install — the fixture is UL Listed for residential use.
What bulb does it use?
A standard E26 — use any LED or incandescent to tune the warmth. Given the directional shade, a warm 2700K LED pairs well with the maple neck.
Will the aluminum shade hold its angle?
Yes — the spun aluminum is rigid despite being lightweight, so once you set the angle it stays there. No sagging over time, no drift under vibration.
Three materials in one fixture — is it too busy?
Surprisingly no. The aluminum, maple, and ceramic each have distinct tones but work in the same natural palette — warm metallic, wood, and matte ceramic. It reads intentional rather than cluttered.
