Pillar | Fluted Column Vase from Modernized Pottery
Height5.5 inches
ColorMidnight Black
$28.00
- — Pillar Vase from Modernized Pottery
- — 98% plant-based bioplastic and wood fibers
- — Vertical ribbing or sculpted form (varies by model)
- — 9 colorways available
- — Optional removable waterproof insert per variant
The Pillar is a fluted column vase made from 98% plant-based bioplastic and wood fibers, by Modernized Pottery.
The form draws on classical column proportions: vertical fluting top to bottom, a measured taper, a stable base. Reads architectural, holds soft.
Three sizes: Small (5.5" tall, 2.6" wide), Medium (8" tall, 3.7" wide), Large (10" tall, 4.5" wide). Plus a three-piece set with one of each. Nine colorways. A removable waterproof insert is available per variant. With it, the vase is fully watertight for fresh stems. Without it, use it dry.
Stack the three sizes on a sideboard for a deliberate silhouette. The Pillar pairs naturally with linear stems — eucalyptus, tulips, snapdragons.

Is the Pillar Vase watertight?
Yes, when paired with the removable waterproof insert (available per variant), the vase is fully watertight for fresh-cut stems. Without the insert, use it dry for grasses, dried branches, or as a standalone sculptural piece.
What is the vase made from?
The vase is made from 98% plant-based materials — a blend of bioplastic and wood fibers — produced by Modernized Pottery. It is not a traditional ceramic or pottery piece despite the brand name.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes — the vase is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. As with any vase, bring it inside before a hard freeze.
What does the three-piece set include?
The three-piece set includes one Small, one Medium, and one Large Pillar in your chosen color.
